The basics – the first thing you need to learn when you decide you might like to make some additional money from home is to understand how a network marketing company works. Network marketing training for beginners starts right at the basics.
What is the difference between a regular (brick and mortar) business and a network marketing company? They both have corporate offices. They both have staff. (Presidents, Vice- Presidents, secretaries etc.) Traditional businesses use a variety of methods to promote their product or service. That advertising might be in the form of newspaper ads, radio, television ads, billboards or celebrity endorsements. They are spending millions of dollars each year on whatever form(s) of advertising they choose to do. Network Marketing companies buy no advertising. They pay us instead. Word of mouth advertising. We like a product or a service and we turn around and recommend it to someone else and we get paid for the recommendation. Simple, easy to understand and fairly easy to explain to anyone who questions you. On a side note do you know Tiger Wood was paid over 100 million dollars for endorsements alone ?? Imagine what that 100 million dollars shared among a couple of thousand distributors would have done to change their lives?
Network marketing training for beginners doesn’t stop with that knowledge. The next step is to look at your network marketing company or any company that you are interested in and determine how much or what percentage of the revenue generated is paid out to you as a distributor for doing their advertising? In other words how much are they paying in advertising out of their whole budget?
When the concept of network marketing was conceived in the minds of a few brilliant men (read Napolean Hill’s Think and Grow Rich) the split was 70% to the company and 30% to the distributors. As time went on and the industry grew the 50-50 split became much more common. Now the concept of “streamlining” the corporate office/distribution centre costs and paying even more to the distributor has been introduced. The compensation plan paying up to a whopping 70% to the distributors is in place and being utilized. The benefit of that to the individual affiliate is tremendous. The number of people you would need purchasing your product has dropped to the point it is almost unbelievable for some more experienced network marketers!
The book “The GoGiver” coauthored by Bob Burg and John David Mann is a perfect illustration of the philosophy of putting distributors before the company’s owners (shareholders). The happier the distributors, the more they will spread the word (advertise) and the more sales the company will make which in turn will produce more profits and the cycle goes on. To the benefit of all parties !
Don’t get caught in the hype of a “launch”, a sizzling convention, a fast talking sales person. Do your research. It’s your future, your sweat equity, your money that goes into building a business. Pick the one that’s going to produce the most for the least amount of work on your part. The company with the “GoGiver” philosophy !
Enjoy every moment of today, we only have the guarantee of this moment, live it to the fullest.
Yours to success,
