Network Marketing training starts with YOU

Go placidly amidst the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence.

I walk by the large 11×14 framed Desiderata every day and have done so for years. I’ve read it hundreds of times. Today, as I read it a light bulb went off. These words that I’ve read over and over again are directly tied to network marketing.

All these years and I had never noticed it before. Network marketing training starts with you and to absorb, to internalize what was written centuries ago is the key to your success or more importantly to YOU !

Go placidly amid the noise … You, as a network marketer, know a lot and we want to tell every new prospect all of it so we sound intelligent and knowledgeable. Remember what peace there may be in silence. There is time to share all we know. Be Silent.

As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Network marketing is a business that all can be successful at, no matter the education level, the present or past circumstances, race, creed, colour. Network marketing is networking with others. Everyone can do that.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself to others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. You, in your network marketing training should learn what a truly unique and wonderful person you are. There is nobody else, anywhere, like you. You have a gift to share and that gift is you. Your success is yours. Others may make more money or have more people in their organization and it shouldn’t matter. Just keep being you and enjoy who you are.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Every step you take to build your business is utilizing the slight edge philosophy. To move a mountain it is best done one stone at a time. Every day, plan which stone you are going to move and then do it and take pride in your accomplishment as you are one step closer.

… Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many person strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. My own network marketing training included some backroom deals, out and out lies, putting the right spin on things, scripts that had to be followed to the T, a predator type approach. I couldn’t handle it. I wasn’t comfortable. I had to get out but I still believed you could operate a business with integrity, honesty and true mentorship. I was right. My search ended and I have found my heroes.

The teachings dating back to 1692 are as true today as they were back then. I will read the manuscript with different eyes from this day forth.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, keep peace with your soul.
