I did a poll this morning. I asked everyone I spoke to this morning”What makes you special?”
I was met with silence. Total, complete silence and then the questions started. “Why do you want to know?” “In network marketing or as a person?” “What do you mean?”
I just wanted to know what made each person I talked to “special”. What did they think made them special. I had an agenda.
I had to work with some. Keep questioning deeper and deeper until we got to the answer. Some after a moment or two said “I guess it’s this or this.” “Are you sure?” I asked. And then my reward came.
“Yes, I’m sure. I am special because ……….” When I left them or hung up the phone we were both smiling. Did I change someone’s day today? I think so. Did I change mine? Yes. Do you have any idea how many special people I talked to today? They were all special! Every single one of them.
And that made my day.
To your success,

Wow-Wee …
What a novel idea!
I believe the simple act of asking someone what makes them special … makes that person feel pretty darn special! In the back of their minds, they’d be thinking, “Joyce must see me as someone special or she probably wouldn’t be asking me this question.”
Isn’t it fascinating that everyone needed to “pause” and really delve deep for an answer?
Your blog post may just start a new trend! We should get up every morning and say, “I am special because …” and begin the day with a smile.
You’re special to me,
